Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, Salesforce – Intern

Job Description:
Guidewire is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in Salesforce to join our Business Technology team as an Intern. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing test processes and procedures that ensure the software operates within defined requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies
- Design and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing
- Conduct in-depth functional testing and evaluate functional stability to ensure that business requirements are met
- Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to resolve issues
- Communicate obstacles and project timelines to QA lead and project teammates
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers on tasks related to planning, testing, and coordination of release activities
- Participate in user story creation process through dissection of high-level requirements during team review sessions
- Take ownership of executing assigned tasks and contribute to increasing project quality
- Follow up on failed automated tests with manual verification
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
- Proficiency in databases and SQL
- Collaborative work ethic and a team-player at heart
- Ability to rapidly absorb new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good social skills, detail-oriented, strong focus on problem-solving, and driving projects to completion
