Job Summary:
As a Software Developer at IBM, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing key components of our enterprise-grade software solutions. Working with a diverse and talented team, you will contribute to the agile development process, delivering projects that meet our customer’s needs and drive innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality cloud-native software using microservice architecture through agile development practices.
- Collaborate with worldwide team members, including Architects, Product Managers, Researchers, Developers, Testers, and Support Engineers, to understand use cases and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Mentor and lead other developers on your team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented atmosphere.
- Conduct design and implementation reviews for multiple projects, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and maintain automation testing for microservices, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our software products.
- Manage cloud-based service operations, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment and operation.
- Create technical documentation and training materials to support product usage and customer training.
- Demonstrate progress and share technology architecture/design updates through playback meetings with the team.
- Support customers and IBM employees in effectively using our products, gathering feedback, and implementing improvements.
- Continuously explore and learn new technologies, tools, and development processes to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Golang, and Python programming languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of independently solving complex technical challenges.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a global, agile development team.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from design to implementation and successful delivery.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset, willing to contribute and iterate on ideas.
- Exposure to Ansible is a plus.
