Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree

Skills Required:
- Proficiency in one programming language like C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with machine learning or AI techniques (e.g., open source projects, campus lab experience, research internships, publications, etc.).
- Ability to work and collaborate across different teams and handle ambiguous situations.
- Experience in developing accessible technologies.
- Experience in building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or familiarity with compute technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Description: This is a 24-month Researcher role aimed at providing experience in solving challenging problems alongside Google Research scientists and engineers in India before deciding on pursuing doctoral research.
As a Researcher, you’ll work with Google Research teams on fundamental and applied research problems in various computing areas. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to products and services and conduct research that promotes human-centered AI and AI for Social Good. Researchers are encouraged to publish their work externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with research mentors to develop research projects or applications of machine learning.
- Conduct research and publish findings.
- Implement algorithms, experiments, or human-computer interfaces using frameworks like TensorFlow.
- Learn and understand research in machine learning algorithms and apply them to drive design decisions.
