About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Razorpay by generating new business opportunities. Your work will involve identifying high-quality leads, reaching out to potential customers, and helping build a strong sales pipeline. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who are results-driven and eager to start or grow their career in sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential leads through cold calling, emailing, social media, and networking.
- Prospecting: Initiate meaningful conversations with decision-makers to understand their business needs.
- Qualifying Leads: Assess whether leads are a good fit for our products/services through strategic questioning.
- Outreach: Send personalized emails, make cold calls, and engage prospects on social media to spark interest in Razorpay’s offerings.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized sales pipeline using CRM tools and ensure accurate data tracking.
- Collaborating with Sales: Work closely with Account Executives and sales managers to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to refine outreach strategies.
- Reporting: Regularly track and report metrics such as calls made, emails sent, meetings scheduled, and leads qualified.
- Continuous Learning: Attend training sessions, contribute feedback on sales strategies, and improve your prospecting skills continuously.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 1+ years of experience in a similar SDR role; experience in the Payroll/SAAS industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with prospects.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, email automation tools, and sales prospecting software is an advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
