About AWS Utility Computing: AWS Utility Computing (UC) is at the forefront of cloud innovation, driving product advancements across foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2. As part of the UC organization, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and managing key AWS services such as Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps. This includes catering to customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Front End Engineer to join our cross-functional team, composed of software engineers, product managers, UX designers, and data engineers. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation within the Finance community through the development of integrated, scalable solutions. If you are passionate about enhancing customer experience, solving complex problems, and writing exceptional code, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define front-end architectures and implement specific components to shape the overall user experience.
- Contribute to establishing best practices for front-end development.
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver high-quality products.
- Participate in planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and continuous process improvement.
- Develop React-based web applications, leveraging component libraries like MUI.
- Write high-quality, efficient, and testable code in React JS.
- Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
- Troubleshoot software failures and participate in an on-call rotation.

Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional front-end, web, or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- 1+ years of experience with computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and problem-solving.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
