Skill Set:
- Sound knowledge of at least one modern programming language.
- Sound knowledge of Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows system administration fundamentals.
- Good understanding of distributed computing environments.
- Exposure to AWS, Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor).
- Expertise in managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications.
- Experience in setting up monitoring/alarming for production DB environments.
- Some experience with NoSQL technologies like DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Riak.
- Good understanding of DNS, TCP/IP protocols.
- Exposure to security concepts/best practices.
- Understanding of IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring/Troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with customer service experience/strong customer focus.
- Self-starter who is excited about learning new technologies on a regular basis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Job Description: Support Engineers will be responsible for solving customer cases through various channels including telephone, email, and web/live chat. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions and drive customer interactions by working with customers to identify the root cause of an issue.
In addition to addressing technical issues, you may also mentor new hires, develop and present training, collaborate with development teams on complex issues, participate in hiring, develop tools/scripts to aid the team, and work on process improvement initiatives.
