Job Title: Associate Software Engineer (DevOps)
Job Description: Cognizant is seeking fresh graduates with exceptional written and oral communication skills for the position of Associate Software Engineer. As an Associate Software Engineer (DevOps), you will be responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions, managing infrastructure, and ensuring effective log management. This role requires proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Node.js, and Python, along with knowledge of cloud technologies and testing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Build & Release Automation:
- Implement continuous integration and deployment solutions for small to medium-sized projects based on defined target architecture or operating model.
- Develop packaging deployment documentation and scripts for final builds to be used in production deployments.
- Implement release automation solutions according to the defined target architecture or operating model.
- Contribute to the high-level design during the discovery phase of projects.
- Infrastructure Automation:
- Develop playbooks/cookbooks for configuration management.
- Install tools on cloud infrastructure.
- Resolve complex hypervisor and networking issues during infrastructure automation.
- Configure complex storage setups.
- Log Management Solutions:
- Configure listeners to capture log data.
- Develop complex search queries to extract valuable insights from logs.
- Install and administer log management tools.
- Create custom scripts to enhance log management capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Node.js, and Python.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and testing skills.
- Sound understanding of Azure Pipelines, Azure CI, Jenkins, and Payer Products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
