Job Overview: Quality Assurance Analyst
Deloitte is seeking a meticulous and driven Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards in our software development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scripts.
- Test Execution
- Execute manual and automated tests in various stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct functional testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, report, and track bugs and defects using established bug tracking systems.
- Test Automation
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Utilize test automation tools and frameworks to execute automated tests.
- Continuously enhance the automation framework and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on requirements, designs, and potential issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand and resolve issues.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with current industry trends, best practices, and standards in quality assurance and testing.
- Proactively suggest improvements to enhance product quality and testing processes.
- Participate in retrospectives and contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 0-1 year of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in manual testing and test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, LoadRunner, JIRA, etc. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum. Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript). Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
