Job Title: Associate Engineer – DD Development at Emerson Electric Co.
Emerson Electric Co. is a global technology, software, and engineering company that drives innovation to create a healthier, safer, smarter, and more sustainable world. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Associate Engineer in DD Development.
Responsibilities:
- Write well-designed, efficient Device Descriptor (DD) code in compliance with coding standards and technical design.
- Understand the design and code of developed Device Descriptor.
- Reverse engineer, troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing DDs.
- Develop Proof-of-Concepts, prototypes, and conduct feasibility analysis for new concepts/technologies of Device Descriptors.
- Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required and be able to work with minimal support.
- Collaborate with a complex team structure, including distributed (i.e., global) teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/Embedded C.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols like HART and Fieldbus Foundation.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and HTML 5.
- Quick and enthusiastic learner and a team player.
