About the Role
As a FinOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, using your technical skills to ensure our products and services meet the highest standards. You will:
- Create and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS or Azure, both through the console and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert on technical issues, contributing to project goals and collaborating with various teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose both short-term and long-term technical solutions for business and technology stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and remediate technical challenges, playing a pivotal role in the implementation of solutions.
- Monitor and report project progress using Microsoft Azure DevOps, ensuring transparency and clear communication.
- Participate in team discussions, contributing technical insights and listening carefully to help solve problems.
- Endorse and apply best practices for cloud operations, ensuring high-quality results in all aspects of your work.
- Develop detailed project timelines, including clear milestones and accurate completion estimates.
About You
You’re a great fit for the role if you have:
- 1-2 years of experience in cloud environments, especially in AWS or Azure.
- At least one relevant certification, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals.
- Strong proficiency in Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience in scripting with Python or PowerShell, with a preference for Python.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management.
