Job Designation: Software Engineer (Application Support)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Freshers

Skill Set:

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles or IT Service Management concepts.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Good customer support skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Prior internship or coursework experience in application support is advantageous but not required.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description:

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing support to our enterprise applications, ensuring their smooth operation, and resolving any issues that arise. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-line support for users of our enterprise applications via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to application software and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborating with senior support analysts and developers to escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Assisting in monitoring and maintaining the performance, security, and availability of applications.
  • Documenting support activities, solutions, and procedures for future reference.
  • Participating in training sessions to enhance your technical skills and understanding of our applications.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities.
