Job Description:

Genpact is seeking talented and motivated graduates with excellent written and verbal communication skills to join our team as Management Trainee-IT Incidents. As a Management Trainee, you will be responsible for managing major IT incidents across various platforms and technologies within our organization. This is an entry-level position suitable for fresh graduates or individuals with relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Incident Analysis and Problem Solving:
  • Analyze incident trends and identify recurring incidents for proactive problem management.
  • Prioritize incidents based on their impact on business operations.
  • Identify root causes and implement long-term fixes and workarounds to minimize business disruptions.
  1. Resource Alignment and Prioritization:
  • Ensure resources are allocated effectively to address high-priority incidents.
  • Assess the value and impact of different issues and prioritize them accordingly.
  1. Service Restoration and Incident Management:
  • Drive the restoration of impacted services within the required service levels.
  • Regularly monitor the Service Now ticketing tool and handle assigned tickets.
  • Provide timely notifications and updates to senior leadership.
  1. Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency:
  • Continuously improve the incident management process and associated procedures.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of incident management and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify operational improvement areas and propose process enhancements based on case studies.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on incident management activities.
  • Facilitate the transition of infrastructure operations shifts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Network/Servers/Telephony/Cloud.
  • Technical certifications such as MCP/CCNA/Advanced Diploma are a must.
  • Working experience with Service Now or similar ticketing tools.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment, including holidays and out-of-office hours.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
