Job Description:

As a Software Engineer at HP, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs to enhance existing products and create new ones. You will work on a variety of software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. You will also determine hardware compatibility and may influence hardware design.

Responsibilities:

• Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
• Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identify, log, and debug assigned issues.
• Develop an understanding of and relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Participate as a member of a project team consisting of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.
