Job Description:
IBM is seeking passionate and talented fresh graduates with excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of Java, Golang, and Python for the position of Software Developer. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing key components. You will work closely with our global team of Architects, Product Managers, Researchers, Developers, Testers, and Support Engineers to understand use cases and deliver projects that meet our customer’s requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, and Python.
- Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to solve problems independently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a worldwide, agile development team.
- Proven track record of owning development projects from design through implementation and delivery.
- Team-mindset with a willingness to collaborate and iterate.
- Growth-mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
- Exposure to Ansible is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, automate, deploy, and operate high-quality cloud-native software using a microservice architecture and agile development practices.
- Mentor and lead other developers on your team.
- Perform design and implementation reviews for multiple projects.
- Develop automation testing and perform regular maintenance of microservices.
- Handle the operations of services deployed on the cloud.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including product documentation and training materials.
- Present technology architecture/design and demos at playback meetings to show progress and seek team direction.
- Assist customers and IBM team members in effectively using our products and learn from their experiences.
- Identify and recommend improvements to continuously evolve and enhance our software offerings.
