Job Title: Software Developer

Job Description:

IBM is seeking fresh graduates with excellent written and verbal communication skills to join our team as a Software Developer. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the technical implementation and delivery of projects based on the IBM Social Program Management Platform (SPM) throughout the full systems development lifecycle. This includes implementing configurations and extensions to SPM in a J2EE environment, developing and testing SOAP/REST web services, modeling APIs using Rational Software Architect, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and writing JUnit tests for unit testing and code coverage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE technology, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and basic knowledge of design patterns
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL
• Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Business Process Models
• Knowledge of enterprise relational database management systems such as Oracle or DB2
• Knowledge of Rational Tools such as Rational Software Architect (RSA)
• Knowledge of Extensible Markup Language (XML) and the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE)
• Familiarity with JavaScript technologies such as ReactJS
• Familiarity with DevOps technologies such as CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications built on IBM SPM
• Implement configurations and extensions to SPM in a J2EE environment
• Implement and unit test external interfaces to the System using SOAP/REST web services
• Model APIs using Rational Software Architect
• Model relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and develop SQLs to meet custom requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Write JUnit tests for unit testing and code coverage
• Learn and build DevOps pipelines for the Cloud
• Support bug fixes during testing and deploy to target environments
• Work with agile delivery teams
• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India
