Job Description
Function: Software Engineering (Backend Development)
Technologies: Java, J2EE, Hibernate
As part of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Engineering team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the content management system trusted by 70% of the world’s top brands. AEM was recently recognized as the leader in the Forrester Wave (Q4 2018) for enterprise web content management systems. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the release of high-quality products and driving advancements in various product areas.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to identify the best solutions for problem-solving.
- Prototype, develop, unit-test, and deploy scalable features, ensuring high-quality results.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Java and strong knowledge of modern web technologies.
- Understand AEM deployment topology, including clustering setup and the role of author & publish configurations.
- Manage and optimize AEM datastore and node store performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
- Actively contribute to a collaborative, global team, ensuring effective communication and high-quality contributions across multiple locations.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in HTTP API design (REST) and experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of the JCR content model—node types, content segregation, and custom WCM component development.
- Understanding of query engines, custom indexes, and debugging query performance.
- Basic knowledge of OSGI including manifest usage, dependency management, and import/export directives.
