The ServiceNow Business Analyst collaborates with the lead or operates independently to design, develop, and implement IT, GRC, Cyber, and Risk processes. They conduct research and analysis essential for building modules within the ServiceNow Platform. The role involves capturing business requirements through agile stories and testing configured functionalities comprehensively once developed.

Job Designation: ServiceNow Business Analyst

Qualification: BE/BTech/ME/MTech

Experience: Freshers / 0 – 2 years

Skill Set:

  • Experience in business analysis and configuration or administration of IRM, SecOps modules of the ServiceNow Platform.
  • Familiarity with Scrum Methodology.
  • Proficiency in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, including client requirement analysis and system design.
  • Expert organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Previous business analysis experience with other GRC tools and platforms such as Archer, MetricStream, Open Pages, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating priorities and resolving conflicts among project stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills to critically evaluate information from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
  • Ability to decompose high-level information into details.
  • Facilitation skills for gathering requirements in workshops and providing training to clients and internal team members.
  • Utilization of industry-recognized technologies to facilitate a conducive work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective communication across all levels of an organization, including the most senior levels.

Job Description:

  • Partnering with business users to gather requirements, formulate business specifications, and translate them into functional business capabilities.
  • Documenting workflows and the outcomes of business analysis, obtaining user sign-off on specifications.
  • Assisting the technical team in translating application functionality into application architecture and producing a business functionality requirements statement.
  • Communicating business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team, serving as the business interface from the enterprise’s operational management team, managing expectations, and defining business satisfaction metrics.
  • Designing and executing test plans to ensure proper implementation of business requirements and functional specifications, meeting ROI objectives.
  • Understanding long-term business objectives and proposing strategies to achieve them, introducing innovation to business processes through technology when appropriate.
  • Assisting the enterprise’s business operations staff in developing content or other materials, recommending enhancements, and identifying new business requirements.
  • Applying knowledge of system capacity to determine project feasibility.
  • Staying informed about new hardware and software, recommending upgrades to maintain efficient operation.
  • Collaborating with IT application analysts and programmers as necessary.
  • Analyzing department production and redesigning workflows when necessary.
  • Developing, editing, and maintaining operating procedures and standards manuals.
  • Serving as a consultant to the enterprise in work measurement, system studies, or cost-effectiveness analysis.
  • Providing assistance to organizations outside the enterprise to improve internal procedures.
  • Conducting training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
  • Leading meetings at all levels of management for presentations, reviews, and approvals of recommendations.
  • Performing at or above the enterprise’s performance standard, especially in procedures development and analysis.
  • Assuming additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Recognizing potential areas where existing business services policies and procedures require change or where new ones need development, and making recommendations in these areas.
