As a BizOps Engineer, you’ll act as a production readiness steward for the platform by working closely with developers to design, implement, and support technology services. You’ll ensure operational excellence through system availability, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and deployment automation.
Your role will focus on:
- Enhancing the customer experience by managing production systems proactively.
- Supporting daily operations with an emphasis on triage, root cause analysis, and improving resiliency.
- Bridging development, operations, and product priorities to deliver a seamless experience.
- Driving compliance and risk mitigation across all environments while standardizing support activities.
Ultimately, BizOps aligns operational needs with product and customer priorities, offering continuous feedback to improve development and user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in and enhance the entire service lifecycle, from inception to deployment and beyond.
- Analyze ITSM (IT Service Management) activities and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Measure and monitor system health, availability, and performance.
- Foster a culture of incident response and conduct blameless postmortems to ensure continuous improvement.
- Take a holistic view of production events, identifying issues across the tech stack to optimize recovery time.
- Collaborate with a global team spread across multiple tech hubs and time zones.
- Share expertise and mentor junior team members.
For monitoring-specific responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global BizOps teams to meet incident response objectives.
- Enhance global monitoring and alerting tools for improved product support.
- Actively review processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
