Role Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Engineer, DEG Layout, who will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of Memory, Logic, and Analog circuits. As part of our talented engineering team, you will contribute to creating new product opportunities through the overall design and layout of cutting-edge technology. This role offers an exciting chance to work closely with various groups within Micron, from design and engineering to marketing and manufacturing, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of innovation and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Circuit Development and Layout Optimization:
- Contribute to the design, layout, and optimization of Memory, Logic, and Analog circuits to meet performance, power, and area specifications.
- Oversee the layout process, including floor planning, placement, and routing to ensure designs are efficient and manufacturable.
- Parasitic Modeling and Validation:
- Perform parasitic modeling and assist in design validation through simulation and layout verification.
- Use industry-standard tools to ensure circuit performance aligns with specifications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, product engineering, assembly, probe, and process integration teams to validate manufacturability and drive design improvements.
- Engage with standards, CAD, modeling, and verification teams to refine and enhance design quality.
- Innovation and Future Technology Development:
- Drive innovation for future memory generations by exploring new design methodologies and optimization techniques within a dynamic, evolving work environment.
- Provide insights and guidance for layout improvements and ensure designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Verification and Simulation:
- Manage verification processes using advanced modeling and simulation tools.
- Proactively identify and resolve layout issues that could impact performance or manufacturability.
- Project Management:
- Oversee tape-out revisions, manage design modifications, and ensure that all layouts are aligned with project timelines and deliverables.
- Contribute to the standardization of processes within the team, driving overall group success.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience with Memory, Logic, or Analog circuit design and layout optimization is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools for layout, verification, and simulation.
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, with strong communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in managing the layout process from initial floor planning to final verification and release.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
