- Good understanding of application security principles and how to write secure code.
- Ability to analyze risks and decide which ones are most important.
- Can explain technical things to both technical and non-technical people.
- It’s a plus if you know about security rules like GDPR and frameworks like NIST.
- Having certifications like CEH, CISSP, CISM, or CISA is a bonus.
- Self-motivated and can work alone or in a team.
- Knows how to use automated testing tools.
- Good at talking and writing.
- Can manage time well and keep things organized.

- Check our apps for security problems and decide which ones need fixing first.
- Keep track of what needs fixing and make sure it gets done.
- Work with the teams that make our apps to make them more secure.
- Teach our teams about how to find and fix security problems.
- Keep records of what security problems we find and what we do about them.
- Work with other teams to make sure our apps are always safe.
- Keep learning about new ways hackers might try to break into our apps and make sure we’re ready for them.
