Responsibilities of the Candidate
As an Account Receivables Associate Manager at PhonePe, you will have a range of critical responsibilities that contribute to the company’s financial health and regulatory compliance. Your main duties will include:
RBI Reporting Compliance
You will be responsible for reviewing the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reporting related compliances, ensuring all financial activities adhere to regulatory requirements.
Revenue Reconciliation
Your role will involve reconciling revenue as per various internal systems within the organization. This includes ensuring that all revenue streams are accurately recorded and accounted for.
SOP Formalization
You will formalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for various accounting processes, both operational and control processes. This involves defining the necessary accounting treatments to maintain consistency and accuracy.
RCM Preparation
Preparing the Risk Control Matrix (RCM) across processes at both the system and manual levels is a key part of your responsibilities. You will drive the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) control process review with internal and external audit teams, recommending necessary system or process changes.
Audit Management
You will drive internal and statutory audits at defined intervals, ensuring timely closure. This includes coordinating with auditors and addressing any findings or recommendations.
Schedule Submission and Variance Analysis
Every month, you will submit schedules along with variance analysis to the Central Controllership team. This involves providing detailed insights into financial performance and identifying any discrepancies.
Tech Development Programs
You will drive key programs with the technology team to develop finance requirements related to reporting and operations. This involves collaborating with tech teams to implement solutions that enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and possess these key skills:
Educational Background
You must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1-2 years of experience in a Controllership role. Experience in the fintech industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
Expertise in working with Microsoft Office is essential. You should be proficient in using Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Communication Skills
Excellent communication and influencing skills are critical. You need to effectively convey complex financial information to various stakeholders and drive collaborative efforts.
Problem-Solving and Ownership
A strong bias for action, problem-solving, and ownership is necessary. You should be proactive in identifying issues and driving solutions.
Relationship Building
The ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders and being a team player is crucial. You will need to work closely with various departments to achieve common goals.
Automation and Data Management
Hands-on experience with automation tools and working with big data is an advantage. You should be comfortable leveraging technology to enhance financial processes.
