Job Title: Cloud Engineer Associate

Job Overview: We are seeking a Cloud Engineer Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, and knowledge of modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or others. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, CloudTrail, and APIs, and proficiency in Linux, Docker, OCP, Rubbernecks, Jenkins, and Ansible.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer solutions using AWS services such as Cloud Formation, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, EFS, and others.
- Ensure the availability of web and integration services at 99.99%.
- Anticipate, identify, mitigate, and resolve issues related to client-facing infrastructure.
- Balance hardware, network, and software layers to create scalable and maintainable solutions that meet uptime, performance, and functionality requirements.
- Monitor server applications and troubleshoot and resolve problems using tools and log files.
- Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for system performance, capacity, efficiency, and reliability and recommend enhancements to better meet client SLAs and standards.
- Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration and DevOps tasks.
- Deploy and decommission client environments for multi and single-tenant hosted applications following established processes and procedures.
- Follow and develop CPA change control processes for modifications to systems and associated components.
- Practice configuration management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation per company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, or others.
- Knowledge of AWS, including EC2, S3, CloudTrail, and APIs.
- Proficiency in Linux, Docker, OCP, Rubbernecks, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Solid understanding of EC2 On-Demand, Spot Market, and Reserved Instances.
- Experience with server setup/configuration such as Tomcat.
