Position: Interim Engineering Intern – Software
Job Area: Engineering – Software
Job Locations: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Noida
Job Description: As a software engineer intern at Qualcomm, you will have the opportunity to design and develop software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets, which are built on cutting-edge technology. We are looking for energetic, creative, and self-driven engineers to work in the following areas:
- Multimedia Technologies: Audio and Video codecs, Image Processing
- Wireless Modem Technologies: 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Self-Organizing Networks
- Platform Level Software: Linux, Android, Windows, Board Support Packages
- IOT Technologies: Connected Cameras, Smart Assistants, Drones, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop real-time embedded software and device drivers
- Work on mobile software development for platforms like Windows Mobile, Android, or Linux
- Demonstrate a good understanding of OS concepts, data structures, and more
- Utilize your knowledge in C/C++ and object-oriented design
- Understand wireless network standards such as CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE
- Work with Linux/UNIX, Linux Drivers, and Linux Kernel Development
- Engage with protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP
- Apply your skills in multimedia technologies, including audio, video, and imaging
- Show excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate effectively and work well in teams
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Communication Engineering, or ECE
