About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer in the Amazon Pay team, you will:

• Enable third-party merchants to integrate Amazon Pay on their websites or in-store systems.
• Design and develop best-in-class, frictionless payment solutions for scalability and trustworthiness.
• Collaborate with a team of top engineers to deliver large-scale distributed systems.
• Build web-based and web services-based applications to support a variety of use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software solutions to enable seamless Amazon Pay integration.

• Maintain and enhance systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming languages like Java or C/C++ (preferably on UNIX/Linux platforms).
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience in building large-scale distributed systems.
• Exposure to web-based or web services-based applications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
