Job Description:
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee in Fire & Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of jobs in compliance with safety and PTW systems and maintaining control system equipment. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of C&I Equipment: Conducting general, routine, and preventive maintenance/calibration activities, as well as managing shutdown and breakdown maintenance.
- Emergency Management: Performing various maintenance tasks during shifts and handling plant emergencies effectively.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collecting data and analyzing occurrences by studying trends of various parameters, implementing logics in DCS/PLC.
- Coordination and Collaboration: Working closely with Operations and other Maintenance departments to ensure equipment availability as per the Annual Maintenance Plan and coordinating with service providers.
- Inventory Management: Ensuring the availability of all critical spares, maintaining appropriate record-keeping of usage and replenishment, and inspecting incoming materials at stores.
- Documentation and Reporting: Preparing daily/monthly reports and ensuring up-to-date documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Imparting and ensuring thorough knowledge of safety practices, safety tagging systems, first aid, firefighting systems, Tata Business Excellence Model, and IMS among the team.
- Technical Skills: Review and update P&ID, logic, control philosophy, instrument list, spare list, etc. Logic testing, start-up release, and protection trip checks in DCS/PLC and Simulator. Familiarity with Invensys DCS and working with AB and GE PLC would be an added advantage.
