Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required for this position.
  • Experience: The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working on complex technical projects, with knowledge in SAP C/4HANA Commerce, BY Supply Chain Execution, Time & Attendance Management, and other technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Requirement Analysis

  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify any gaps, and provide feedback on missing elements.
  • Estimation: Make precise estimates of time and resources based on task complexity and requirements. Ensure these estimates are reviewed and aligned with project objectives.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and submit technical specifications and feasibility analysis for review by higher management.

2. Coding & Development

  • Design Understanding: Review and understand both high-level and low-level designs before beginning coding.
  • Coding Standards: Follow coding best practices and standards to ensure that code quality remains high.
  • Code Review: Submit developed code for peer review and incorporate feedback as needed.
  • Unit Testing: Identify and execute unit test cases, ensuring that your code is defect-free before it reaches the Quality Assurance (QA) team.
  • Status Updates: Regularly update supervisors about the progress of your work and flag any potential issues early in the development cycle.
  • Support in Code Reviews: Assist in preparing code review documents for the team.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance (QA)

  • QA Coordination: Work closely with the QA team to answer queries, investigate bugs, and provide quick fixes where necessary.
  • UAT Support: Address defects and perform the necessary changes during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), always ensuring timely delivery.
  • Defect Reporting: Submit defect reports and coordinate with the team to ensure timely resolution.

4. Deployment Support & Project Closure

  • Transition Tasks: Provide knowledge transfer documents and transition details for the support team, ensuring a smooth handover post-deployment.
  • Warranty Period: Assist with any production issues during the warranty period and respond promptly to any defects.
  • Deployment: Deploy fixes into production, ensuring that the work is completed on time and with the least disruption to clients.

5. Service Support & Maintenance

  • Ticket Resolution: Handle user calls, gather relevant information, and resolve incidents within the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Code Updates: Perform minor code changes as required and validate the resolution by closing the problem tickets.
  • Change Management: Coordinate with change management to deploy larger fixes into production systems.

6. Knowledge Management

  • Knowledge Sharing: Document lessons learned, best practices, and any artifacts that could assist the team in future tasks. Upload and maintain documents in the knowledge management repository.
  • Continuous Learning: Utilize the knowledge repository to resolve issues quickly and apply best practices to ongoing development.

7. Training & Recruitment

  • Training Materials: Help develop training content, including presentations and demos, to facilitate the onboarding of new employees.
  • Interviews: Participate in technical interviews and provide feedback for potential new hires.
