Job Description:
As a Software Developer at TIAA, you will play a crucial role in programming and configuring software to meet the organization’s business needs. Working under close supervision, you will assist in identifying and analyzing software requirements, write code to optimize the performance and efficiency of the IT platform and infrastructure, and conduct testing to ensure the proper functioning of programs.
Responsibilities:
- Write business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions aligned with the organization’s business needs in the financial industry.
- Collaborate with IT contacts and business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end-to-end technical solutions.
- Perform basic coding based on written technical specifications.
- Ensure coding components adhere to company standards and approved testing plans.
- Identify and suggest corrections for reported defects.
- Create run-time profiles to identify and debug errors.
- Escalate issues to senior team members when necessary.
- Seek advice from senior management for complex software circumstances and other problems requiring a deeper understanding of IT.
