About the Team:
Our team’s vision is to create a unified, fit-for-purpose digital tax platform powered by secure technology and business intelligence. This platform aims to save time and reduce costs across tax functions, mitigating audit and compliance risks. By providing trusted and intuitive data across the tax lifecycle, we enable our users to spend less time on data manipulation and more on high-value activities like tax data analytics and decision-making.
Tax data storage is often a challenge, with many departments relying on disparate spreadsheets and systems. Our platform is designed to handle large data sets, providing greater connectivity and reducing the risk of errors. We help tax professionals access accurate data quickly and efficiently, freeing up valuable time for more strategic work.
What You’ll Do:
- Application Development: Design and develop world-class, scalable business applications using open stack technologies.
- Collaboration: Work with upstream and downstream development teams to ensure seamless integration and representation in business applications.
- Best Practices: Collaborate with team members to develop and implement best practices and technical requirements.
- Product Development: Partner with engineering, product, business, and UX teams (4ITB) to drive product development.
- Tech Community Engagement: Engage with Walmart engineering teams globally to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to enhance software effectiveness and support the training and coaching of team members.
What You’ll Bring:
- Educational Background: A degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MBA) with a preference for Computer Science.
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience in data engineering and frontend development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, ReactJS, Node.js, and other frontend technologies. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Finance Understanding: Basic knowledge of financial business functions and financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Option 2: 3 years of experience in software engineering or a related field at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, or GSEC.
