Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of developers to write code for various systems, such as the largest private customer database, master data for items, supply chain support for online and offline channels, mobile development for enhanced user experience, complex security frameworks, integration layer for suppliers and partners, the world’s largest private cloud, large-scale distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, high-performance scalable and reliable systems, and massive in-memory databases.
- Apply expertise in the development, execution, and improvement of action plans, providing guidance and advice to others.
- Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs, while building commitment and fostering collaboration.
- Identify business needs, implement necessary processes and practices, monitor progress and results, and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

In the Data Engineering team, we manage Walmart’s vast amount of data by building pipelines and data lakes to prepare big data for analysis. By leveraging cross-departmental data and machine learning, we provide actionable insights in real-time, enabling better decision-making and saving millions of dollars across various item categories and geographies.
