Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Trainee Software Testing Engineer to join our team at Wipro. As a Trainee Software Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and testing our proprietary Total Benefit Administration™ (TBA) System to meet the specific requirements of our clients. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong logical reasoning and analytical skills, and a solid understanding of programming concepts. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of system testing, software quality assurance methodologies, and automation testing principles. Fresher candidates with a BTech/MCA qualification are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and test the TBA System using proprietary tools and systems according to client requirements.
• Collaborate with the analysis team to understand and implement the necessary configurations in the TBA System.
• Understand and apply the principles of software development life cycle (SDLC) throughout the testing process.
• Perform system testing and ensure software quality assurance best practices are followed.
• Break down complex problems into manageable pieces and analyze the relationships between them.
• Utilize basic relational database concepts and write intermediate SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Participate in systems implementations and provide support during the process.
• Develop and execute test plans, considering real-time customer impact and thinking beyond the provided test plan.
• Display a strong ability and enthusiasm for identifying system defects through rigorous testing.
• Analyze and debug issues, utilizing relevant problem-solving resources as needed.
• Proactively communicate task status to managers and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Escalate issues when appropriate and collaborate with the team to find solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• BTech/MCA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) principles and concepts.
• Familiarity with automation testing principles, preferably with some exposure.
• Knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems and identify relationships.
• Proficiency in basic relational database concepts, including table relationships, keys, and SQL queries.
• Experience with systems implementations is a plus.
• Ability to write intermediate SQL queries for data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot intermediate system defects and errors.
• Strong task management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to tie test plans to real-time customer impact.
• Creative thinking to go beyond the provided test plan and identify additional test cases.
• Enthusiasm for breaking the system through thorough testing.
• Good understanding of data analysis techniques.
