Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop test plans by analyzing business requirements and translating them into testable specifications. Use Wipro’s Model-Based Testing to create efficient test cases and scenarios, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all features.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the development team to capture relevant test cases. Define the criteria, scope, and parameters for testing while participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate the product meets end-user needs.
- Automation and Efficiency: Implement test automation at various stages of the test lifecycle using tools like VB macros, GUI automation, and scheduling. Focus on automating repetitive processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Defect Management: Identify bugs, prepare defect reports, and monitor test progress. Ensure clear documentation of defects with detailed replication steps to aid in swift resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Peer review test cases to minimize errors and rework. Ensure that all testing activities comply with project and client standards, reducing the likelihood of rejections and slippages.
- Reporting and Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with stakeholders through status reports, test execution updates, and dashboard releases at the end of each test cycle. Provide constructive feedback on product usability and quality risks.
- Customer Interaction: Uphold high standards of customer interaction through professional communication, prompt responses to queries, and adherence to business etiquette.
- On-Time Deliveries: Ensure timely completion of test executions, defect tracking, and updates in relevant project management systems. Strive to deliver all assigned tasks within the predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and testing methodologies to drive continuous improvement within your function. Leverage technology to enhance efficiencies and add value to client organizations.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Educational Background: Any graduation is mandatory. A strong foundation in technology or a related field is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of testing tools, automation frameworks, and test management systems is crucial. Proficiency in test case design, defect management, and test automation is expected.
- Process Excellence: Ability to adhere to established standards and norms to ensure consistency in results and effective risk management.
