Job Description:
As a Software Developer at Wipro, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining software programs for operating systems or applications to be deployed at client sites, ensuring they meet 100% quality assurance parameters. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Understanding requirements and designing the product/software.
- Developing software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Investigating problem areas and following the software development life cycle.
- Facilitating root cause analysis of system issues and problem statements.
- Identifying ideas to improve system performance and availability.
- Analyzing client requirements and converting them into feasible designs.
- Collaborating with functional teams or systems analysts for detailed investigation into software requirements.
- Conferring with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
- Performing coding and ensuring optimal software/module development.
- Evaluating operational feasibility by analyzing problems, defining requirements, and developing software solutions.
- Developing and automating processes for software validation by designing and executing test cases.
- Modifying software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
- Recommending and planning the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Ensuring code is error-free and preparing reports on project specifications, activities, and status.
- Compiling comprehensive and accurate documentation and reports.
- Coordinating with the team on daily project status and progress.
- Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, tracing results to quality risks, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Capturing all requirements and clarifications from clients for better quality work.
- Taking regular feedback to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
- Participating in continuing education and training to stay current on best practices and new programming languages.
- Consulting with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
- Documenting solutions by creating flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Ensuring good quality interaction with customers regarding email content, fault report tracking, voice calls, and business etiquette.
- Responding to customer requests promptly and preventing complaints internally and externally.
